Usually, these videos are on the longer side for this new generation. This one is going to be short. And the essence of the video is the following. What would it take to change your mind? That’s it.
Okay, a bit more detail. Think about something that you hold as a core principle. Something about your personal life, about society. And then ask yourself, “What would it take for me to change my mind? What information would I demand to reconsider my position?” Let me just warn you, it’s not a comfortable exercise, but I think it’s very good. And if you don’t feel like doing it, do it do what I do, which is to ask somebody else. Go to somebody and ask them, “What are some of your core principles? And then say, what would it take to change your mind?” It’s a wonderful conversation, and gets us, to understand that things we think are well reasoned and logical, and we believe in them because they are well-reasoned and logical, maybe aren’t so much.
So, what would it take to change your mind?
